As we’ve made the transition to a multisite model of church we’ve adopted a method of Team preaching. It sounds revolutionary, but is grounded in our theological convictions.
This week many of our staff and students have been at the Queensland Theological College’s Preaching Week “The Beginning and End of Wisdom,” being encouraged to think about preaching Jesus as the wisdom of God. Steve presented on “Preaching to 21st Century Australia.”
We thought we’d explain what we mean when we use the word “pathway” to describe how we do things at Creek Road. As a church our goal is to see people’s hearts and lives transformed so they become more like Jesus.
As a church, we want to serve our city. Brisbane. Because we love our city. And ultimately we want the people of Brisbane to see Jesus through our actions. So on Saturday March 23 we’ll be rolling up our sleeves to love and serve our neighbours.
